Hi, I'm Kate, your Event Illustrator.

I offer live illustration for brand events, launches and private celebrations, creating beautiful, hand-painted portraits for guests in real time.

Each piece is made in just a few minutes, using loose lines and soft colour to capture a moment. Guests can watch their portrait come to life and take home their own little memory from the day.

I am based in Spain and travel for events throughout the UK and Europe.

About the Artwork

My event illustration is an extension of my studio work - creating small, joyful paintings which capture the moments that matter.

When I draw at events, each piece is made quickly, but with a focus on composition, colour and feeling, to create an artwork that is both a portrait and a keepsake.

My style is minimal and expressive. I work with confident, fluid lines which capture the essential details in just a few strokes, and add a sweep of colour with gouache and brushes.

I work with the best quality artist materials and beautiful watercolour paper, to make sure my paintings last. Coloured or branded paper are also an option, for perfectly on-brand portraits.

How it works

From a couple of hours to a full day, live drawing makes a big impact with a little footprint. I take care of the details, so your guests will be entertained and it flows seamlessly with your event.

The Set-up

I bring all materials and set up a small drawing station, making it easy for guests to stop by for a portrait during the event. All I need is a table and chair, and a well-lit space. I can work in analogue, with pencils and brushes, or digitally, depending on your preference.

The Experience

Guests can sit for a portrait or they can strike a pose for the camera and then I work from a photo, while they enjoy themselves.

Each painting takes around 8 - 10 minutes and with a few extra minutes, I can also draw couples in one drawing.

The Takeaway

Each guest receives a hand-painted portrait, created on the day. From the paper to colour palette, I work with you to make sure all the little details are taken care of and the portraits are aligned with your brand. If desired, I can also provide digital copies.
